Hardly talking about McDonald? Or indeed Mortimor?

Ciaran MacDonald would be my guess. Absolutely class player from crossmolina in mayo. Kicked the winning point against Dublin in the semi in 2007.

    Think it was actually 2006

Think he's still playing a bit of club football. He doesn't have the long hair anymore. He used to get dogs abuse on the pitch. I'd say he is about 36 or so now. When those animals used to visit from Australia they made a special point of targeting him and canavan cause they were such class players.

I remember watching one of those games and before the ball was even thrown in McDonald and some other bloke were trading blows, that was back when those games were entertaining.:(

It was probably Barry hall or Jason akermannus or some other unreconstructed aussie ape that was thumping the lard out of him. Those international rules games were completely idiotic.

Never get tired of looking at that. :D:D:D

Apparently McDonald is playing very well for his club Crossmolina this year. He's 37 now so finished for the county but nearly at the standard.

I'd believe it. He was a joy to watch!

McDonald was a great talent and on his day was a joy to watch but for me his clubmate James Nallen was even better - one of the most underrated players to ever play gaa - the Denis Irwin of the GAA.

Nallon was a warrior. I think because he's not of the flash variety he never really got the plaudits he deserved. Would have him in the same league as seamus Moynihan. There are so many players that due to having never won an all Ireland maybe don't get the recognition they deserve.

Pa Kelly and Maloney are they still with St Vincents in Dublin?

Nallen was not underrated. He was rightfully regarded as one of the top centre backs when he was playing....
