So I join the ranks of you docentore, I have failed miserably this evening in my attempts to glitch a 16MB corona.

The evening started off as a pain, the case was the hardest ever I'd had to open. The hidden clip behind the warranty sticker just wouldn't budge for a good solid 20 minutes of trying to open it. The soldering was rather uneventful, multimetered to alt points to verify continuity and booted it up. First time the fan didn't spin. Second time the fan spun but no DBG light flashed. Third time I got a red dot. Fourth time red dot. Fifth time fan but no DBG. I unsoldered, resoldered, changed wires for CPU_RST, removed the heatsink fully to verify I didn't make a complete balls of it (I didn't) and then I got the shock of my life when I returned to stock only to get a red dot  Disgusted with myself I again checked coolrunner wiring, everything was grand. Decided to give the console a full 5 minutes power off before trying again, removed the CR3 and all wires and then it booted to stock - phew! I've done a good few trinity's but these Coronas are a pain in the hole.

I'll give it another go tomorrow after work, see how I get on. I think I'll see in the xecuter IRC chat room too as I go, just in case I need some assistance from those who've gotten the holy grail (RGH on a Corona) to work

I completely forgot about this thread. So here comes update:
I managed to get the Corona glitched, but it took me >week and lot of tries.
Mrs stil swears at me because since last month there is no tv signal in bedroom - I used antenna cable for the glitch :P
I tried with shielded WiFi cable but I had no luck, then I used ~15cm antenna coax with shield grounded at one end. I used alternative point under the heat sink (or around) - of course we are talking about CPU-RST point. Give it another go, use some short flexi cable to interconnect the coax with the board.

After all that the best results I got was 5-60 seconds glitching 90% of times. Not bad I would say.

EDIT: The xvsf files that my corona would glitch with were (in order from most sucesfull to least): 4.3, 3.2, 2.3

    And success.

Removed and resoldered all wires. Swapped to CPU_RST alt point FT3T10. Swapped CPU_RST wire from multistrand to 14cm long single-strand Kynar.

    LK1 - Open
    LK2 - Closed
    LK3 - Open
    LK4 - Open

S2 has 1 and 5 on, disabling the CPU_RST cleaner.

Best timing was 2-2, giving glitches < 30 seconds 90%+ of the time.

It is, I swapped to single-strand Kynar and the alt-point FT3T10 for success.

Sub 30 seconds on a corona is pretty damn decent! When I got it to 30 seconds I spent a little time flashing different CR timings and enabling different caps on the S2 DIP switch for CPU_RST. Ended up getting it down to mostly first/second glitch attempts at sub 15 seconds. I'll be honest though, I spent a little longer messing about than I should have. Really if I'm ever on a Corona and sub-30 most of the time in the future I'd leave it alone and save myself some time, for an extra 15 seconds at boot it's not worth the effort of your time :P

Thanks mate anyway for your effort and share infos.

Thanks for posting your findings TV saved me lots of time wasted on tinkering with cable lengths etc..

Tried with the regular mult-strand blue cable at first then went for the single-strand kynar as you mentioned cut roughly to 15cm, boots within a minute most of the time so it's just a case of fine tuning the boot times now.

One thing to note is that Xell didn't output to HDMI and I don't have the regular video connection on my TV, so I just waited for the pulsing green light to stop, I had it connected to the wireless router and used J-Runner to scan the local network looking for the Xbox - I was able to recover the CPU key this way.

Here's some of my own findings, CR3 Lite with single-strand kynar wire going to CPU_RST point FT3T10 approx 15cm in length on this round of tests. SR2 bypassed with 1 and 5 set to on. LK1 Open, LK2 Bridged, LK3 Open and LK4 Open.

    2_3.xsvf timing file

Booted the Xbox three times to find an average time

    1. 2.57 minutes
    2. 1.52 minutes
    3. 4.15 minutes
So the Xbox booted to the dashboard in an average of 3.14 minutes. Could be better :(

    2_2.xsvf timing file

    1. 5.16 minutes
    2. 1.20 minutes
    3. 23 seconds
Average boot time of 2.38 minutes, still not good enough :(

Will try a shorter CPU_RST cable...

To be fair you probably need more than 3 samples. For example your 2_2 timing file the 5:16 could be a complete outlier and most of the other boot times come in at 1:30 or lower but with your 3-sample the 5:16 skews it something awful.

It's got to the stage now where the next time somebody asks me to do one for them I'd consider the CR3 Pro and the RATER just so I don't have to waste my own time figuring out the best boot timing file :P
