    Hi Everyone,

I have a 2004 seat inca Sdi 1.9 diesel with only 80,000kms on it . the problem is whenever the glow plug light fails to come on , the van will not start . it's a intermitten problem that last few months . when the light does come on , it starts no problem .

    Thanks lads

Also does anybody know where the Ecu is located on the Inca's ? thanks again

The ECU is under the bonnet at the base of the windscreen on the right hand side of the van.

If I were you the first thing I would do is replace the ECU relay. If you look in the fuse box area it is the one with "109" written on top. They are very troublesome. They are €18 ex VAT approx from the dealer.

The relay has 109 written on the front of it. In my experience it's more likely the wiring the wiring connecting the relay to the ECU thats the problem. May be handier and cheaper if you have a friend with a tdi caddy/ transporter/ etc. from the same era to swap the relays and see if the problem persists.
