ATM Skimmer Query

    I just have a query with regard to ATM skimming. I had to get cash out of an ATM this morning in Phibsborough. I went to the first one I could see (an Ulster Bank one. I don't bank with them though) but when I had just inserted my debit card, I noticed all of the plastic coverings on the ATM (i.e. insert card here ect) were removed. I removed my card without entering my pin and went to an ATM inside the Spar on North Circular Road.

    I checked my balance and there wasn't anything out of the ordinary. I'm just wondering should I contact my bank cancel my card or am I worrying unnecessarily?

    Best to call them and talk to the fraud dept, they will more then likely put your account on alert.
    But in doing so you may have to call them to authorise transactions.

    It sounds more like somebody just vandalized it but best to be sure.
