    My car failed nct on the offside dip beam aim. I have to bring it back for a retest because they cant visually inspect it!!! Pain in the backside plus extra money.
    Can anyone tell me whats involved in fixing this. I suppose a garage would have to do it. Would a fast fit or the likes be able. Also how much would you think.

    Fast fit should be able to do it. By the sounds of it they just need to be realigned..

The space is too small to cool properly and the heat of the bulb burns it. The only solution is a new headlamp.

    It means you've just taken something out of context and confused yourself :p

    The headlight is misaligned.

    Headlight aim can't be done as a visual retest, as it needs the use of the test lane/equipment. Thus you need to pay a retest fee for it.

    Hey guys quick question.I haves 00 1.4 corolla.it failed the Nct with moisture in the rear lamps and a cut cv boot.will this be a big job

    Not really.

    Take off the bulb unit at the rear of the lamp and dry it with a hair dryer.


    CV boot is a simple job. Shouldn't be more than 100 quid to get it done. If your CV joint itself is gone it's worth replacing though. No point putting a new boot on a worn joint. Ask the mechanic to check it first.
