car problem

    Hi all, my wifw hasa 08 honda frv, and this morning and the battery was dead, so we jumped it and when we then tried to move it and there was very little power when I stuck it in drive it jumped and the same in any gear.
    Its stuck in the drive now and if anyone has any ideas please let us know.
    The engine management light is on as well as the VGA LIGHT

    Your post is a bit confusing, is it that after you jump started the battery there is no power and your car is now stuck in your driveway?

    I'd suggest charging the battery a bit more, either by a mains charger or by leaving the car idle for a good while.

    Sounds like there isn't enough charge in the battery

    Try the battrery charger. If the battery was completely dead the alternater wo'nt charge as it needs a bit of charge to excite the it to get going.

    Thanks for your reply, I disconnected the battery for an hour and recharged it and hey presto, started no problem and working 100 percent, thank god , really appreciate your help
