    Hey all
As above I am having a small problem with my 02 Audi a4

It is fitted with the factory Audi Concert radio system

The stereo works perfect only for its like the stations aren't tuned in properly.

I changed stereo thinking it was that but it wasn't. I have been told it could be the signal booster.

So I said I would ask here before making anymore changes

    Thanks in advance

It will either be a problem with the amplifier or the rear screen.

The aerial wires can break at the boot lid I have seen this before, your going to need somebody with good experience to look at this problem. As George also said the screen can give trouble to.

There are three aeriels in the rear screen and a little amplifier above the rear windscreen. The amplifier decides which of the three aeriels to use depending on signal strength etc.
If you want to have a look at it, prise off the plastic trim that runs across the car, just over the rear window. The part you're looking for is a plastic block around 10cm or so in length.
The problem with it is the wires/coils in it can break. Unfortunately, everything is covered in rubber and if you try to take the rubber off, you'll do even more damage.
A new part is expensive - several hundred euro and to my knowledge, noone has a decent fix for this.

The fault you describe is very common in the Audi, I see it regularly with callers to my workshop. I agree with previous answers that most likely the fault is aerial related. The cheapest fix is to put an aerial similar to the beesting on the roof of your car. This would be less costly than having to replace your rear windscreen

Do you have an aftermarket HID Kit installed? ... It could be the ballasts interfering with the frequency. I've seen it before.
