    this is more a post for local people who many be doing nothing else tonight, I obviously don't expect this to be for the benefit of people living in other counties and to drop everything.

    also if it's any good I can report back, and if its something I feel would be worth going to from further a field, then I'll do my bit to keep people informed and give decent amounts of notice.

    the west has very few LGBT events, and those that are on are usually small scale and very hard to find information on.

    Ara sure won't half of Mayo be up in Coppers tonight for the match tomorrow and the other half will be heading up early in the morning so will want a decent nights sleep tonight! ;) I'll be in the latter group! :D

    I rate it a success. They reckoned 70+ and Westport is usually the quietest of the towns.
    So I'm recommending these guys to anyone in the general area to keep an eye out for them.

    I imagine the biggest pain is accommodation, I'm in Castlebar so Westport is only a quick bus hop, and even the taxi fare for a group isn't too bad. But for the likes of Roscommon, Sligo or Galway I would be staying over, so that's a bit more money and commitment.

    There no point throwing the guts of 100 quid on a night out, night's sleep and breakfast if you're attending a disco with 20 silent Gays and Lesbians shuffling around a room.
    but no; I went with small to medium expectations and I was pleasantly surprised.
