Did anyone else just see a group of lights moving silently across the sky in Limerick ? . It looked like a group of jet planes with orange lights but it wasn't making any noise. kinda baffling.
Does anyone know a possible explanation for what it is?

I saw this at about 11 pm.

We saw a group of lights after 11 I think it was. I told my parents it was chinese lanterns. Oops!! (am in Meath which is no where near limerick so it couldn't be lanterns. )

I saw them in Galway, looked like slow-moving meteors. A satellite breaking up seems a likely culprit.
    Great special effects.

it was aliens but once they saw they were in limerick the pegged it

    Meteor or Chinese lanterns.

Must be a meteor or satellite breaking upon entering the atmosphere. Fanstastic site to see and Im kinda annoyed I missed it. I was out in the dark from 8pm until 10:30pm.

Lots of reports from people saying they heard a huge bang before or during the sighting. Breaking the sound barrier? or something more sinister :pac:

'Meteors' sighted in skies across UK
People from across the UK have reported seeing bright objects in the sky, thought to be meteors.

Belfast coastguard has taken calls from people who saw the objects from Coleraine on the north coast, to Strangford Lough in the south east. Sightings were also made in Dublin.

The lights were also seen in parts of central Scotland including Grangemouth, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

    ...?

There is a golden eyed pug in a tie dyed tutu with pink fairy wings on but I've seen it too many times for that, to be unusual ... lights, you say...

Wow, this is so exciting, it reminds me of that time a dinosaur went on a rampage through Dublin:

I saw it too!!!! So glad that I'm not crazy as I was driving at the time between Cork and Limerick and thought it might have been eyes playing tricks on me.

I'd describe it as 3-4 orange fireballs going from east to west, midway in the sky line.

    It really was amazing

There're probably ICBMs. We'll wake up tomorrow finding out that the US has been annihilated by nukes.

Russia is supposed to have tested an ICBM over Israel a couple of month ago. I wonder if this is something similar, it could be a MIRV rocket, similar to this:
