If i get one of those dishes/Aeriel that are for sale like (http://www.amazon.co.uk/SLx-27884K-Element-Digital-Aerial/dp/B0026600CY/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1348253837&sr=8-4, what signals will i receive? Would i be able to get BBC's? I am in Galway.

In Galway, no, you won't get any UK channels.

That TV is on the Saorview approved list though, so you should get RTE1, 2 HD, News Now, RTE1+1/RTEjr, TG4, TV3, 3e and 10 RTE radio stations.

You should post in the Terrestrial section if you have any other queries, there's people there who'll know which transmitter/frequency you need to aim for, and which type of aerial you'll need.
