(mods-there hasn't been a thread on this in two yrs and previous similar threads are a bit outdated)

I am hoping to have it done closer to christmas. I am getting it done by a GP in the gp's surgery I go to, she offers it. However if she does refuse on account of my age, I have been looking at Dr Patrick Mc Govern, he seems pretty good.

But surely if your gp refuses than you don't need it!!!!

botox isnt an all over anti ageing treatment,it cant get rid of gravitational sag around the chin, jowels, side of cheeks, under eyes etc,but it does work great from your 20's - 40's,you would want something a little bit more if you are 40+ like a chemical peel and a mini facelift..

Hi ive had it done last wednesday. Its actually amazing. The results were way better than what i expected. Im 33. I loved it. It cost me 349. i had a voucher for 100e that i got for xmas so i only had to pay 249. This is the second week in and not many people noticed but what they have said is i look refreshed. Im thrilled. My advice is - go get it done.

Facial excise is great option if started early and done on a daily basis.

Hey, how many areas or units did u have done for that price and where? I just moved into town ( and have been using botox for the last 4 years I LOVE IT) but not sure how much is here so i actually travel to eastern europe to get it done .. if the flight +cost can match your deal would be great so that i dont have to travel to get it !

Check out dundrum cosmetic medical centre, afaik their prices for Botox are fairly reasonable. I didn't get Botox there but did go there for semi permanent makeup and I found them very professional for that anyway, best of luck!!

I had my first Botox in January and I couldn't have been happier.

I'm 27 but had an over expressive forehead ( thanks dad ) and it was quite noticeable. There was no cream that could ever shield the lines on my forehead.

I was referred to a doc in the hermitage ( by my doc sister ) and he was amazing!

I only wanted it in my forehead but he applied it to my forehead, between my eyebrows and a slight amount to my crows feet.

I didn't have any crows feet but it is used as anti ageing.

    It was

I really cannot tell u how happy I was.

I had a slight dull headache for 2 weeks after the treatment - not enough to take pain killers but a slight headache.

The little pin marks from the injection went down by the following day.

I forgot to mention it's May now .. 5 months pater , I have a little expression coming back.

I will defiantly get it again.

It does raise your eyebrows a little which suited me I think.

It just makes you look like you've come back from a 2 week holiday. Nice and refreshed.

It took 4-5 years off me.

Do it ladies ! You won't regret it!

Ps I only got half a vile of Botox . Do not over do it! Easy does it ladies!

Hi Cla1re, was hoping you might have the info for the lady you mention in Cork doing Botox please. I am not sure if you received a pm from me. Am a new user so not up to scratch on the board here.

    Cheers.

Make sure she is a doctor or a dentist with training in botox(takes like 3-6 months in the UK). You dont want anyone injecting a poison into your face

Is this Katherine Revell by any chance?

Thanks hfallada for the advice. I have contacted the lady and she is a Dr. I wasn't aware that Dentists could administer Botox though?

I'd be very interested to get the name of the recommended doctor.

I cannot locate the doctor who did it for me the last 3 times. It appears she has up and moved!
I am going to do a search on Kathryn Revell to see what people think of her, but if you could pass on the information to me, I'd appreciate it.
    :D

I got mine done in a GP practice in Glasnevin, really nice practice and I just got my eyes done: cost me 150 euro for one area..,it's 200 for 2 areas and 275 for 3 areas-is that a good price?

also anyone had any side effects from the forehead injections? it worked so well for my crows feet I'm thinking about getting my forehead done too but worried about eyebrow droop etc!? and I don't want to look like Simon Cowell!
