Accessing LAN page off campus

    Hi,

    I cannot access the LAN page off campus. It is my first time trying to do so, so maybe i am doing something wrong??

    I used the tips on:

    http://www.mic.ul.ie/orientation/Documents/LanLecturenotes.pdf

    But when i try to log in it just says:

    Not Authorized

    HTTP Error 401. The requested resource requires user authentication

    Any help??

    Seems to be a bit of a misprint in those notes! Here's what works for me -
    1. Head to www.lan.mic.ul.ie
    2. Type in "micstudent\Your ID number" as the Username.
    3. Type in the password you use to log on to college computers as the Password.
    4. The webpage will have a slightly different layout to when you access it in the college so don't panic! There'll just be a list of names and no folder images, but you'll have full access to all the notes you need.
    That should do it. Post back if you have any problems!
