How much to paint a small apartment?

Hi,

I need to have my apartment painted. Dublin City.

It's a basic 2 bed apartment (600-650 sq. feet), small kitchen cum living area.

Gonna go mad and paint it white or cream.

What would be a fair quote including all supplies?

It depends on if you're going to do just walls and ceilings or woodwork as well (skirting, doors). It costs around €400-700 here in Sligo (€400 - 500 just walls and ceilings and up to €700 for the whole lot) but I imagine you could up that by a bit because Dublin's generally more expensive than Sligo. Ring a few painters and get quotes and remember that the most expensive isn't always the best but nor is the cheapest!

Ask to see their insurance and ask for references for recent work too.

Or you could save alot of euros and do it yourself.

Its not that hard to do and its not that big a job either.

I went onto tradesmen.ie

I got a quote for two coats of walls and ceilings for 150e (inc. paint). Granted it's just a rough quote as he hasn't seen it yet but happy with that.

I presume an extra 100e or so to do the doors etc.

Checked comments left by past customers and all seem happy.

Never knew of that site before, will see how I get on.

has he got insurance , does he paid tax on that, paint for a two bed apartment would cost €100 or more for walls and ceiling, must be on the dole at that price,

€150 2 coats on walls/ceilings? Im sure he is a real "tradesman"
Good quality paint would cost more than €150!
In my opinion realistic price to paint 2 bed apart walls ceiling woodwork all prep work around €800-€900 depending on what brand of paint u pick.

Just as a follow up..

I went onto tradesmen.ie and got a very professional person.

He took out fireplace and filled in wall, painted the doors, two coats of brilliant white on walls and ceilings. He was there for 7 days, thou I'm sure they were not 8-10 hour days.

€570 including paint.

Very happy with job
