Front wheels of Monarch plane leave runway after landing but no injuries reported

Flights to and from Birmingham International airport have been suspended after a plane overran the runway as it touched down.

An airport spokeswoman said the front wheels of the plane, Monarch flight ZB467 from Nice, left the runway after it landed. No injuries were reported.

The spokeswoman said: "We can confirm that an incident involving Monarch flight ZB467 arriving from Nice and operated by Aurela Airlines occurred at 13.11 this afternoon. Airfield services are assisting the airline crew."

She said flights were suspended and more information would be provided as soon as it became available

The Spokesman was correct to say the front wheels left the runway, he just forgot to mention the entire plane followed!

From some other pics on the web, looks like they made the turn at the end of rwy 33 onto twy A but were too fast!!

yeah seems like a taxing incident rather that overshooting. some said that before departure there was a strange noise when they were taxing taking a right too.
