    Hi,

I got one of the student travel cards up in that van parked on campus all week. Im actually a student with institute of chartered accountants but using the library for study as im an alumni.

i told this to the guy but he put DCU on my travel card, the main thing i want this for is a 20e monthly discount in my gym, they only accept this travel card as proof of being a student.

they take a copy of it in the gym and last time when it expired the offer went so they obviously keep close track of it, so im just wondering will this make any difference, like do whoever runs student travel card actually check that you're in the college at all?

I don't think they do. All the checking that's done is done before you get the card.
For example, if you're applying via post you need your school to stamp the back of your passport photos to verify you're a student there.

    You'll be fine I reckon.

yeah i suppose they don't even take your student no. or anything.

its mad the two lads didn't care at all they're not asking anyone for their student card.

if i was someone who gets 2 buses to and from work every day id get up there and get one then get the 30 day student bus pass save a fortune.
