'Thin' Skirting boards

    i'm trying to find thin skirting boards, to place behind a sliding door. the clearance is only a couple of mm's
    i have seen in shops/businesses where they have a thin plastic skirt along the floor, must only be 2-3 mm in thinkness but i can't locate such a thing online.
    any help out there?

    It sound like what you are seeing are vinyl skirtings (although i could be wrong) rather than plastic. check out http://www.gerflor.com/ or http://www.forbo-flooring.ie/ and you might find something.
