Argos Toys 3 for 2 Next Week

    Hi,

Was in Argos today purchasing some bits and inquired about the 3 for 2 Toy Offer as it is usually on in September.
And Yes, its starting next week, usually buy a lot of the xmas toys there. Best to try and go for the more expensive purchases and buy them together.

Beware if you are buying and paying for a lot of items together, they will always take the cheapest,
ie. buy 6 items together (2@€50,2@€40,2@€20), and they will take the cheapest 2(@€;20) saving €40.
However tell them as you are putting the transaction through and they will adjust ie. (2@€50, 1@€40Free) and (1@€40,1@€20, 1@€20Free) saving €60.

Best also, to reserve items so as not to have a wasted trip. Naturally Xtra Stores will have bigger stock.

Good value, on big ticket items, however Smyths are usually cheaper on most toys nearer xmas but Argos do have some exclusives.

    ;)

Can you do the 3 for 2 offer with the 2 for €20 toys? I saw a good few bits in that deal and wondered if I could get 6 of them for €40 iykwim.

You never know, it could be worth a punt, but they probably have a disclaimer in that its not valid with any other offers. But still worth a try, as it would be the cheapest two free, on the 6 toys!!! I might be up in an Argos on Monday, if I can reserve all my items in the one store and check then.
Its best to check the website for the 2 for €20 offers as I saw the girl's Lego Friends in the offer in the store however its not listed in the catalogue as being in that offer.

Anyone confirm that this is happening this week as there is no mention of it on the argos website

    Hi fitzcoff,

I saw the list last week after inquiring about the 3 for 2 offers and was told it was this week and assumed it would start from the Monday 24th but it wasn't on.
I then looked at the other offers in the brouchures/website and saw most of them finish today, so I take it the offer will start tomorrow 26th??

Just saw an ad on More 4 for Argos.co.uk with this deal in GB, and a free Stg 5.00 card when you spend over Stg 50.00.

Will they have that here I wonder?

Ok so have 6 items reserved under six different reservation numbers, all under the 3 for 2

    Prices as follows -

    €23.99
    €18.99
    €17.99
    €15.99
    €15.99
    €13.99

Whats the math on getting the best value here? What should I pay for with what?

    Should I go with €23.99, 18.99 & 17.99 then 15.99, 15.99 & 13.99, is there a way of saving more?

I bought about nine items and split them into 3. I bought some pricey stuff so it worked out good for me. Between each sale i got a five euro and ten euro voucher so i used that too. really good.

When they state that the offer ends 02/10, do they mean on 02 or after 02? :)

I did notice two toys I was looking at the day before the offer were 25% cheaper - cheeky!

One item was 15e and now is 20e and another was 20e and is now 25e.

I spend almost a hundred bills albeit over different order numbers so is that why I didn't get my 5 euro off voucher? Is it 50 euro in one transaction to get €5.00 off ?

Yeah. I think its 5 euro if over 50 and 10 if over 100.

Yes, I saw that the prices went up too before the 3 for 2 offer, but it's still an excellent offer, if anyone has a few spare quid right now.

No, they use the original price, so if its 14 on its own and you buy 3 of them, you will pay €28

I want to get some toys under this offer but they are all saying not in stock but available to order in, if I order them now would they give me the offer or would it be at the price when the stock gets in?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,604 ✭✭✭dave1982

Was told in cork bikes not included in offer, still worked out well but i bought a toy i had not planned on buying:mad:

We tried this and went in today to collect them only to be told the offer only applies if you can pick up the item today! We even showed them the reservation receipt which clearly showed one item was to be collected later this week and the 3 for 2 deal was still showing us that the cheapest item was free but the lady in the shop refused to give us the deal. Bit of a joke of an offer if you ask me as there is nothing in our reservation stating the offer is only valid if everything is collected today!

Went on Sunday and spent over €500 on laptop and toys.

Between the €10 off for spending over a ton and the 3 for 2 offer I reckon we saved at least €60.

Not to be sniffed at. It took a bit of planning to split the items (different stock in different stores etc) but well worth the hassle. Its all stuff we would have bought there anyway.
