I've constructed a helpful chart to aid you in your decision.

    chart?chs=300x281&cht=p&chd=s:9A&chdl=Yes|No&chtt=Bigger+Wheels+Are+Always+Better.

hhhmmmmmm, your chart is flawed, most of the time the bigger wheels will rub under the arches when your carrying other people or taking a bend too lively, the car will handle like crap, they slow the car down, when you hit a pothole your defo going to bend them, the tyre are more expensive, your speedo will be off,...............maybe i'm just getting old

15's but it needs to be lowered to get it to look right.

for me depends on the profile of the tyre going on, then rolling the lip of the arch to give you the extra 2 mm you'll need ( plus you shouldn't rub on 15's i'd expect )

depends also on the design of the alloy itself... amount of spokes & such look better in different sizes or maybe thats just me ?

This what i am thinkin about, get those plus lower 40mm? Or should i get these 15 and lower about 40 50mm?

Kelp in mind, bigger wheels mean less tyre and stiffer ride quality.
I would personally go with 15. Civic look way better with nice 15s, then with stupidly oversized wheels.
