So as the title says I have an interview next Thursday. I had applied for job A online last week and also had someone who works there to forward my Cv.

When I got a phone call about the interview I just said ya I'll be there. But after the call I got the feeling that it might be a different job than the one I applied for judging by the job title the women used.

She told me who would be interviewing me and since Wednesday I have left this guy two messages asking to send me on the job description. Also I asked my contact in there and she is just as confused

    Any suggestions

Are you working at present or looking for work?

Take the interview imo. It might suit ya like

Do the interview. There is a greater chance of you pissing them off by refusing to do the interview. And this isn's like Co-Op in UL. You don't have to take the first job you are offered. If you don't want the job and you are offered it just say no.

What other jobs are advertised for the company? Are any of them relevant to your experience in any way?

    working on contract till christmas.

The job i applied for is the job i want. The thing is if its the job i want ill need to read up for it.

I left that guy the 2nd message about 20 minutes ago, just before my OP.

Do i leave it now till monday or what. Don't really wanna piss him off before the interview.

ps the job i applied for is what i studied in my degree and most suits my experience i would have thought

Read up anyway, it'll do you no harm and might do some good.

Go for it. At the very least its interview practise and useful feedback.

Just don't want to go in there and make an arse of myself therefore not having a chance with them again for a while. Oh well i'll try one last time on monday to get through to that guy and if not i'll leave it be.

The girl i know working there is gonna hand my CV to here immediate team lead on monday. She is working in the same role i want so it won't hurt i suppose

so i rang again today and left a voice mail for the guy interviewing simply asking for an email/phonecall just to confirm the time of the interview on thursday. So thats a total of three voicemails, last wednesday/friday/Today.

kinda bad form at this stage in my opinion.

Oh well just have to hope it goes well on thursday
