    Hi,

I'm heading away to Budapest tomorrow morning with my friend (two girls) and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on things to see other than the baths which we have planned to do already..

Also places to go at night as I have heard it's difficult to find good spots, we're not interested in going to Irish bars in general but as a Mayo girl would LOVE to find somewhere to watch the All-Ireland final on Sunday!!!

    Thanks for any help :o

Hi there it's been years since I was in Budapest but I do remember it was hard to find a good pub for a few drinks, a lot of dodgy clubs playing brutal European disco music.

We got this recommendation from a waiter and it was a great spot and we had a great night

Not sure about GAA match though

As for things to do we did the trip up to Gellert hill gorgeous views over the city. Also the basillica is lovely.

It's a gorgeous city to walk around and some beautiful food. Make sure you have afternoon tea in some of the restaurants in the main square it's a big thing over there and lots of lovely cakes. Also some lovely boat restaurants on the Danube which is a lovely experience something a bit different!

    enjoy !

Budapest has somebof the coolest bars in the world. They have this whole Ruin Bar thing check them out here http://www.ruinpubs.com/

Also the A38 bar, restaurant and venue was voted beat bar in the world by lonely planet. Its a ship on the Danube and is great if you're into your music.

There's a couple of Irish bars where you'llcatch the gaa.

    Really cool place!
