Hyundai i30 1.6 crdi window condensation problem

    Hi,
We're looking at changing our current car for a uk imported Hyundai i30 estate 1.6 crdi ('08). Looking at online forums there seems to be a serious issue with window condensation... i.e. water (and ice in winter) on the inside of the car windows.
    .
Just wondering if anyone has any experience of this condensation problem or knows the extent of this issue?
With the dodgy wet Irish climate this would put me off buying what I otherwise thought was a decent car.
    .
    Any advice appreciated.

    Hi Supergurrier,
How bad is the condensation problem on your i30? - there is an i30 review online of an owner having to use a squeegee on the side window when he is driving which seems a bit extreme...http://www.parkers.co.uk/cars/reviews/owners-reviews/hyundai/i30/estate-2008/review/20120908044229/

I don't have an i30, but noth my cars had/have this Skoda Octavia/Focus ST and i normally wouldn't drive until concensation was all cleared, is easier to clear it in new car with air con i guess though

I drive a 2011 i30 1.6 crdi (not the estate) and have never had this problem.
The ould chap drives an 09 i30 and never had it either.

Used to have an old accent and this used to happen alright.

Just keep the windows clean inside and it will lessen the likelihood of this happening.

Also, rent a dehumidifier and leave it in the car for a few hours. That will suck out any excess moisture in the car.

Have an i30 and seems to be problem with Aircon which was supposed to be repaired by main dealer but still underperforming. Hows the Air Conditioning unit working on those who have condensation?
