golf logix golf app for phone

    found this free golf app for i phone and android phones ,golf logix,its free and basicaly is a gps on your phone , used it yesterday on for the first time ,found it exelent.i was thinking of buying skycaddie but this app seems everybit as good and you can upgrade it for $20 , check it out you will be suprised

    I know those apps are illegal, is it because they can give wind speed and other criteria? Or do the big boys have patents to be the only suppliers of GPS devices?

    Mobile devices are banned rather than apps. A phone could tell you the strength of the wind apparently which would deem it illegal.

    I don't have the capability of measuring the wind on my HTC Wildfire but on a recent thread it was stated that even having the temperature on the phone made it illegal, if that's the case all smartphones must be illegal?

    This will have to change to keep up with normal everyday useage of the phones.
