Correct tap for shallow sink...

Does anyone have any experience in choosing the proper tap for a shallow sink so that it does not splash water everywhere when being used or just from turning the tap on. Want to avoid excess splashing. Was thinking that a waterfall style tap might be a good choice. Looking to hear from someone who knows...

No. a waterfall tap is not the best choice. You need to use a tap with a diffuser and a waterfall tap does not have one. The best tap would depend on the sink but try make sure the spout is over the waste hole.

It's a trough style sink with one center drain and two taps, one on each side of the drain. So a diffuser... does that buffer the pressure of the water?
