Where might one find some definitions of a literary work? Wondering about the minimum size of a work to be eligible?
    Would this post qualify?
Would more substantial posts qualify? i.e. 100words+

Well, the Copyright Act is a great place to start!

    http://www.irishstatutebook.ie/2000/en/act/pub/0028/index.html

Note the definition is sec2 .

About what qualifies: there are a few requirements. Look up "originality in copyright law". Im too lazy to explain today, sorry.

I started with the act, a literary work and a work are poorly defined
a computer program is a work

    print("A Literary Work")

is a valid Python computer program.
I guess I need to figure out how judges have defined intellectual creation

Not poorly defined. Broadly defined rather.

The real question you need to research is what you have to do to establish copyright in any work, dont focus on "what a literary work is" but rather "what does one have to do to gain copyright on any work".

There is a lot of case law but it usually involves anything with some skill and labour. If you are looking to find an exact definition of how little work would qualify as a literary work you wont really.
