HTC Desire Keep data session open

    Hi

    My phone supplier charges for data per Mb. This suits me as I use very little data so don't want or need a data plan.

    Almost all the time I only use a few Kb per session, usually for email, twitter etc. My problem is many, many times per day my phone opens a session, checks email twitter etc and closes seeeion. I have only used a few Kb but am charged for 1 Mb.

    I wonder is there a setting on my phone or an app I could use to keep my data session open until I manually close and therefore only have one data charge instead of many. BTW phone is HTC Desire.
