Anyone on here dealt with this company in the past?
    http://www.photoframes.ie/pictureframe.asp?eventcategory=

Ordered frames from them and am waiting since the 8th of this month. Tried both numbers to contact and am only getting through to answering machine. No reply from email either.

It says on their site that delivery will be about 4-9 (working) days. The 8th Sept is only 9 working days ago. So your order isn't really late yet, as such.

    9 days today
That make sit 10 tomorrow which falls outside their time span.
I really wanted them for today, It is not like they are based in Hong Kong or anything. They are only in Athlone.:(

Still nothing today and still no answer on the phone from either landline or mobile.

That website looks like it was made in the 90s. The about us page says the company that owns the website is Snapshot LTD. Their address and phone number is in the link below.

Anything on Retreat Road is more than likely a private house - if it was a commercial premises I'd have swung by to see if they were open and not legged it with your money.

Google Maps shows a private house 'Termon' on Retreat Road. No signs in the garden or on the front wall saying it's them though unfortunately.

If you're badly stuck to deliver an order, try your local €2 Shop. 10x8 timber frames €2 each. They are not top quality but you might be able to use them until such time as you can source better frames and you can always re-use these if you swap for the ideal ones with your customer.

I've ordered from them twice before, so they are legit. Can't remember how long it took to deliver, which means it was probably a relatively reasonable time. Only thing of note was the massively oversized box they were in, so maybe the issue is with An Post.

    Well, Still nothing yesterday.
Phoned them, Emailed them, Sent them a text message to their mobile number.. Still no reply.. Lets see if they arrive today.
Just wondering, Could I cancel payment? was paid via Laser card

try contacting your local post office to see if its sitting with them for delivery, if its in an oversized box that might be the problem!

Best friend of mine is the local Parcel delivery guy. He has checked for me and nothing is showing up.

Looking at their delivery details below. The only thing I got was a sales receipt on the 8th. I never received a dispatch email.

    Delivery.

Delivery is 4 - 9 working days from date of order. Your custom frame(s) are delivered by An Post Courier Services. This service is normally overnight. Once your goods are dispatched, you will receive a track and trace number which you can use on www.anpost.ie. You will also receive a customer support number for An Post if you need even more up to the minute information.

Not if it's already gone through your account.
If you had paid by credit card it would be a different matter and you would get your money back if the goods didn't turn up. (AFAIAA)

Just got a phonecall from them now. Apparently there was a hiccup in their database and some orders went astray. Sorted now and delivery should be with me Monday.

    Will keep you posted.
    Thanks to all.

Hi, I'm just about to place an order with these guys and was wondering if everything turned out ok for you in the end? Thanks.

I can only speak from my own experience.

Possibly a week and a half went by after I got confirmation of delivery and also got an "An post" tracking number which apparently never worked as I could not find it on the An Post tracking site, so I eventually told them I wanted to cancel the order and looked for a full refund which was paid into my account 3 or 4 days later.
One thing I do find amusing. How did they cancel the order when it was with An Post?
I would have thought it would have eventually arrived to me and I could refuse it.
Maybe I am wrong but something just did not smell right.
Would I order from them again?
    Never in my lifetime.

I ordered from them before and found them great. I won't lie, i had difficulty reaching by phone, too, but my (custom sized) frame arrived in three days, i think, and was well packed. So I'd use them again, based on that.

It's possible they did have a legitimate error.

I agree, not once but twice on the same order??

Well presumably if they did have a genuine error, it would be more likely to affect the same order repeatedly than several different ones?

I don't know. I'm not trying to defend them, shoddy service is shoddy service.

I was just throwing in my opinion of them (as I felt they were quite good) to balance things out a bit, incase anyone does a search of the forum in a few days/weeks/months, etc. its always good to be able to see a bit of both sides of the story for people's experiences. :)

I have just recently placed an order for frames & mounts. It arrived promptly but with one frame missing. I have spent the last two weeks trying to get a response, to no avail. Sent two emails and left a message on answer machine. got a reply by email on 16th to say they would look into it asap... nothing since. I can't now leave message as the 'box' is 'full'!! Not impressed

We too have had the same problem, we placed an order for custom frames to the value of €200. We received a sales invoice but nothing else. After two weeks we tried on numerous occasions to contact them but to no avail, so we got onto our credit card supplier. They also trade as fineartframed.ie. All i can say is BEWARE, i wish i had researched about these rogue traders before purchasing!!!!

Unfortunately I had a similar experience. Completely messed about with my order. I had to chase them with unanswered emails and phonecalls, and broken promises.

It's a pity, as the quality of the mounts was mostly excellent (bar half my order being terribly cut ).

I ordered and paid for frames with this company recently, paid through pay pal and got no confirmation or anything from the company. I emailed after a week and got no reply and then I rang and got through. I was told the "order never came through properly" and that I would be sent a sales invoice which I received. Then after another few days passed and there was no sign of a dispatch notice, I emailed again and got no reply but I did receive an email from paypal notifying me of a full refund which I got. What a waste of time. At least I got my money back. I think this is just incompetence; someone who is too lazy to make the frames! They operate as Snapshot Ltd and photoframes.ie.
