I have the amiko alien 2, really nice box, software is getting a few updates, currently only a now and next guide on it, their appears to be people working on a port of the amazing cross epg but dont know when its gonna appear.

The portal is nice, has a few sites like youtube, and a few others such as youporn but most are German based which is a shame. It can stream tv channels from the web if you know the stream addy.

A few bugs here and there....and had a few problems when recording one and watching another channel. I have the dual tuner version.

I think its a great box, had mine for about month now was going to buy the vu solo but decided on this box. No regrets spark is brilliant and easy to use needs some work do. Had 3 updates so far there coming thick and fast.

Just installed the satstaion engima2 firmware yesterday and had it up and running in a few hours. Good image. Have not done any recording yet so cant comment on epg.

But you get a lot for your money with box.

Have not tried that but i do know you stream from a nas device, i can stream movies from my PC to the box no problem through spark and enigma. Don't know will it work the other way round still experimenting with it.

I have the HDMU engima2 image installed on amiko alien2.

Can anyone give me some detailed info to set up my hard drive. It is formatted as ext2. It is a 2TB seagate GoFlex harddrive.

These are my current recording paths.

Default movie location /hdd/movie/ When I press ok I'm unable to edit this in anyway.
Timer recording location <default movie location>
Instant recording path <default movie location>
    Time shift location /media/hdd

I know its working because cross.epg is downloading to it and has created a folder on it called cross epg.

ANYONE CAN PM ME IF THEY WANT TO HELP
Thanks for any help or info

I have the same issue but no such issue in Spark just in the HDMU image.

I cannot map a network drive or a USB Drive.

It maps but cannot access it no matter what I try.

    Got it sorted,
created a folder TV this can be anyname. then I did this
to add TV you have to create a directory to do this on your recording path select default movie location then press menu then 1 it press menu again and it will say create directory add a name the set the path to this folder u may need to remove the bookmark u first used and then add ur New one

The hard-drive was reformatted to ext3.

These are my new settings and it is working.

    Default movie location = /autofs/sda1/pvr/TV
    Timer Recording paths = /autofs/sda1/pvr/TV
    Instant recording path = /autofs/sda1/pvr/TV
    Timeshift location /media/hdd/
