eye test and driving with cert of competency

    I passed my test about a year ago - but never actually got my pink liscence - (Just have my certificate of competency to hand always) - Is this OK to do???? (my learner permit is still valid)

    Also I was thinking of finally applying for the pink liscense - I wear glasses when driving as is noted on my learner permit - Do I have to get a new eye test now again when applying for my pink full liscense?

    Yes your old test was only valid for one month, your license will reflect that you need glasses for driving with the number 01 or 101 or something like that.

    Why on earth didnt you get the license after you passed the test?!! First thing most people do when they pass is straight down the tax office to apply...

    Im also not sure that the cert you get for passing the test is enough if you get stopped; you are legally supposed to have a valid licenese on you at all times when driving.

    I think that only applied when getting the provisional licence. I was a bit surprised myself that I didn't need another test for the pink licence, though I had only had the test just over a year before applying for the pink licence.
