Spurs look to push on after the first win of the season last Sunday but they come up against an in form Lazio team which is only the second in it's history to go the first three games unbeaten.

AVB has already spoken how he wants to win the competition so it is unlikely to mean as young and inexperienced a side as Harry had out last year.

Full Debuts likely to be handed to Lloris and Dempsey as Adebayor misses out with a hamstring strain.

    Likely Spurs line up

    Lloris
    Walker--Caulker--Dawson/Vertoghen--Naughton
    Huddlestone--Sandro
    Townsend----Dempsey---Bale
    Defoe

I think we will see a 2-2 Draw today with a couple of late goals.

I think Spurs will have too much quality for Lazio, but should be a great game.

Are you not worried about how this will effect your league campaign ?

Ya definitely a little bit worried but I suppose I haven't a clue yet how things are going to pan out with squad rotation etc so he might handle it better than Harry it's wait and see really.

    Lazio to win 2-0

    One can only hope ;)

Will Spurs take this serious ?

It baffles me how in general English teams tend to downplay the importance of the Europa League and play weakened squads.

Experience tells me that Italian teams tend to not take the EL serious.

Which is a shame, as for some of them it's the best chance for silverware.

Bale, Walker, Sandro and Defoe the only ones that might need the early rest, but too early in the season for that!

Looking forward to see Lloris starting. 2-1 Spurs! COYS! Proper thread over on the proper forum btw :)

Lazio's passing has been horrendous, had two good counters though.

Lazio can be happy with that point, should have been Spurs who got all 3 here.

We played very well but you really have no luck when your goals keep getting ruled out I'd give the linesman the benefit of the doubt on the Dempsey goal but the Caulker goal should of definetly stood poor decisions from the ref tonight.

Hope we have enough in the tank for the weekend and get a win.
