Means?

Hello I recently applied for jsa.
a letter came back this week saying my means was 114 and I will be deducted 37euro for each day I work!
im under 22 and living at home.
how will I be getting so little?!

Well anyone aged 22-24 living at home only gets 144euro to begin with. Your parents income will also be taken into account and this can reduce your payment. Living at home is assessed as follows:

And if you work one or two days it will reduce it even further.

Well anyone under 24 living at home only gets 100euro to begin with. Your parents income will also be taken into account and this can reduce your 100euro payment. Living at home is assessed as follows:

I rang them up and im getin 37 euro taken off the 144 for everyday i work. 37 is a high figure i think im goin to appeal

The 37 is the same for EVERYONE on JSA. It isn't specific to you, so I don't see you getting anywhere with an appeal tbh
