withdrawal times

    dried off a cow with umbro red -leo red- on 15 august, she calved 23 august ... this cow has been tested 6 times for antibiotics and is still positive.... insert in bucket says to with hold milk for 28 days since insertion plus 84 hours , its gone past that now and yesterdays sample was still positive, just a word of warning to get the milk tested before you let it in if they calve early

    i leave it out for the milkman or drop it to glanbia in drogheda, have a delvo kit but never used it, glanbia is only 10 minutes away

    i have a cow for culling but i totally forgot she got an injection after vet got calf out..better sit tight for a mth anyway I guess

    And if the animal turns up showing traces of anti-botics even well past the withdrawal period as stated on the bottle the farmers is still liable and will get a straight 20% on their SFP irrespective. If you read the very fine print no liability is carried by the drug manufacture even after the withdrawal has passed. Also please make it known if you sell an animal that is within a withdrawal period as if the crap hits the fan it will be the herd that the animal came form will be prosecuted
