This is not a job offer but more of a search for a business partner. I am a professional website developer and I've specialised in building deal websites for the last few years, websites similar to groupons citydeal or dealrush. You can look up my profile on www.stuartcusack.ie.

Anyway I want to get my own deal voucher website up and running someday. I have the computing knowledge to build a state of the art deal buying website and take care of everything else to do with the computer side of things, what I need is someone motivated to find me the deals to put on the website and engage with all the local businesses on their own initiative, and also possibly deal with promotion, at events and such.

I'm not looking for any investment and I don't plan to spend any money until the business starts generating cash. You don't get paid but I'm willing to split any profits 50/50 with the right partner. We'll start off very slow.

I'm based in Dublin but I don't mind what city or town we get our deals from, and we can conduct the majority of our interactions through phone or email.

If you think you'd be interested in this venture then contact me on my website or at enquire@stuartcusack.ie. I'll be quite picky and I don't promise to reply so please provide as much detail on what you think you can do towards this project. I'm looking for someone that I think will work well with me.

    Thanks for reading.

Maybe Boards Deals want to do some co-operation? If you got some new ideas? I mean.. do you have something better in mind than Groupon is doing already? or you just want a share of that market?

Boards deals are closing at the end of this month, which should be a minor indicator IMO of the saturation of the market.

If one of the busiest websites in the country can't monitise the subscriber database, you stand very little chance of starting from scratch.

Sorry, but hopefully it'll save you a lot of time & money.

I think there is room in the market but you would have to identify a niche that hasn't been filled. Not sure if anyone is doing deals for the over-55s (and there would be a lot less of them online) but if there isn't they do tend to have a good disposable income for short breaks, over 65's have time on their hands and could go away to hotels Mon-Friday which might be of interest to fill otherwise empty rooms.

But if you're thinking of just doing a Groupon then you really are up against it as the market is so saturated- just look at mydealpage.ie , I think there are at least 80 deals companies in Ireland at this stage.
