Cancelling car insurance at 11 months

I'm trying to sell my car at the moment. Tax and insurance both have to be paid in a couple of days. I don't really want to pay tax as I'm about to sell it but my problem is with the insurance....

I pay it in monthly installments and this month happens to be the last one of the year. What I'm wondering is: do I lose my no claims bonus as I'm cancelling before a full year (this is my first time ever having car insurance) or am I better off paying for the last month?

I'd just pay it and hang on to the car for another month if it wasn't for the tax...

    Thanks.

you can let your car go a month without tax, for the NCB (seen as you have 0 years) id keep the car until the 12 months are up then cancel insurance and sell the car, a years ncb will probably help you more than the cost of the month your paying for the insurance.
