    Hi Guys

    I stand to inherit a bit of money from an old cousin in England who also has money in an Irish bank account.its quiet a abit when all together.he is currently being looked after by the NHS with a bit a home help etc etc.Does any one know what the tax implications for me in this under English law.im Irish born and resident.Relationship is second cousin.

    Hi

    I understand that UK inheritance tax is payable by the disponers estate.

    Depending on the amount of the inheritance you may also be liable to Irish Inheritance tax with a credit given for any UK inheritance tax suffered.

    Do you know that rates or whether the NHS would claw some back similar to fair deal scheme?
