    Hi,

I'm looking for a engine oil sump, complete with sump nut for a 2.4 diesel engine. Can't get a new one as they don't make them anymore..

Probably a bit far away, but there is a Land Rover specialist I visited in the Scotland who may be able to help...they even have a LR parts catalogue available..www.lixtoll.com

i think www.depower.ie are/were VM diesel engine suppliers admittedly
mostly for industrial applications but could be worth a call as the 4cyl
was popular enough in the past

No joy with these guys.. ta anyway.

I think my only option is a retired classic RR.. I can see her resting in a dusty barn. Saw a 2 door 89 LHD, same colour too, on ebay, this was about 6 month ago.. Should have bought it..

    Please keep an eye out....

Any chance that engine appeared in other cars / vans with the same sump configuration? LDV vans? Other Rovers / Land Rovers?

I have a pair of VM diesel engines in my boat (badged as Mercruiser)
I get my spares from these guys.
    http://www.vmdieselspecialist.com/
They can be a bit of a chore to deal with, not returning calls/emails etc. but they do have the parts.
