    Sorry if this has been done, mods, feel free to lock/merge:

    My friend will be visiting Ireland for a second time in July next year, when he was last here, I showed him the Storehouse, Belfast, Dublin and Temple Bar, Pub Crawl in my Town and that's it, he was only here for a short while.

    He is coming again for a few weeks, I am planning to show him the following:
    • Galway and Aran Islands
    • Wicklow Mountains and Glendalough
    • Donegal (and possible Tory Island)
    • Dingle or Tralee and Possible Carrantouhil
    • Kilmainham Prison

    He is interested in Irish history, I read online that the gallows from Mountjoy will be moved to Kilmainham (but why, I though the patriots were executed by firing squad :confused: ) ... is this the regular gallows that was used for ordinary crimes up until the 50's in Ireland?

    So any other suggestions of what to see please ?? Sorry for the long thread.
