Can anyone tell me what it costs to replace lost title deeds to a house approx 50 years old in Dublin? What is the process involved and how long dies it take?

A decent Solicitor should be able to tell you, hence it will be a Solicitor you need to go to, not the internet. You could call the Land Registry and see what they have on file 1890333002, but in any event, its a solicitor you need

If Land Registry, should be no problem as stated above.

If not Land Registry, check if house is part of an estate. If so your neighbour will have the same back title. Ask him/her if he would assist your solicitor in getting copies of the back title.

If it was a stand alone house, call to rates office in your local authority. They may be able to supply rated occupiers over the last 50 years, plus "immediate lessor" who may be the ground landlord.

If Rates Office has not these detail, you can contact Valuation Office 6 Ely Place D2, but they may charge €100 plus.

Bring the information you get from Rates of Valuation Office to your solicitor.

I think the valuation office is still in the Irish Life Centre in Abbey Street. A house of that age in Dublin is almost certainly Registry of Deeds title, in which case you may have your work cut out.
