Just wondering if anyone can help me out here,
Bought my first dirtbike 3 months ago and the other day the kickstart seized So I'm looking for any kind of info on this, (i.e. what problem could be, who is best person/place to fix it, cost that could be involved etc)
The full story is I was riding it for a few hours and the chain came off about five times, on the last time the chain came off the bike cut out and the kickstart had seized, on further inspection I found that it had no coolant in it either
    P.s it's a 2005 kxf 250

Thanks in advance for any responses

This is probably better off in Motorbikes.
OP you have probably seized your engine, the seized kickstart points to the engine not turning over.
The repair cost for a 4 stroke MX bike is likely to be very expensive.
Piston, rings, rebore at the very least.
How often was the oil changed?

I changed the oil regularly, I've been told it could be the piston, would you be able to give a ball park figure on cost of a toned rebuild?

It will be more than just the piston if it has seized, you'll need a set of rings and maybe a rebore as well, I don't know if those cylinders have a steel liner or are they nikasil?
I don't know what the parts cost will be, probably best to ring a shop that specialises in MX stuff.
You may find that parts from the UK/NI may be a lot cheaper.
