    Hi

Has anyone here employed a forester to do up your forestry plan and then carried out the planting yourself or sub contracted it to someone?

All the companies I've spoken to dont seem to do this. They want the whole job from planning through to planting and maintenance.

the main companies want to all the work by default but they do offer consultancy service as well.

If you're looking to get the grant yourself and do the work yourself you will still need a forester to sign the forms. In order to protect their reputations they will insist on overseeing the work and make sure it is up to the standad requried by the Forest Service, otherwise they won't sign the forms.

There will be lots of foresters and forestry companies available at next weeks Nationa Ploughing Championship to talk to you about this.

    Hope this helps.:)

Thanks. That was what I was hoping. I know the forester will want to oversee and as long as I can do the work I'll be happy.
