I saw it. Seemed to be great deals there. What put me off was not knowing exactly what you'd be getting as you can't see everything in each lot. Also not knowing specific sizes in clothes. Being based in Cork too meant I'd have to pay for shipping.

pair of adidas 360 shoes for 40euro, happy days :)

Had a look at it some really good prices there, just remember the price you bid is PLUS .....VAT @ 23% plus buyers fees @ 16% which will infact add nearly 43% onto your winning bid price

Very strange coupling of items in the are of golf shoes. Three pairs of shoes UK size 4, 6.5 and 8. Why would I buy 3 pairs of shoes all different sizes? Also I bid for a pair of shoes that were being bid for at 15 (it didn't say it was an autobid) I bid 25 on the autobid assuming it would imediately go to 20 as the highest bidder but it went straight to 25. A little dubious about that so I've queried it. It's not as intuitive as ebay bidding:(

    Agree on the shoe lots...bizarre.
Maybe someone else had an autobid up to €20 but Im sure they will confirm.
When I signed up I accidentally picked Dutch as my language and I got a personal email from them explaining that they had changed my preference to English and also advising about the deadline for the Irish auction.

I managed to pick up two stand bags for €93 all in, happy with that. A grey/white/orange Taylormade one and a black Callaway one. The pictures weren't the best so hoping that they're in good nick.

I'm based in Cork, and the postage fees are probably more than the bags, so may drive up early Thursday morning to get them. Only thing is that I have to be back in Cork for a game of golf at 2pm!

Daan Auctions are not flexible with their collection date (I queried it), so I'll have to head up early and be on the road back to Cork again at 10am.

If anyone in Cork has items for collection, PM me. If you throw me a fiver for petrol I'll collect your gear for you...as much as the car can fit! I'm not sure what their policy is for collection though...do you need to present ID?

I work in Glanmire and live in Douglas, so would be able to meet you with your stuff any day after Thursday. Don't worry, I won't run off with your stuff...check my signature links and you'll find out who I am!

Give me a shout anyway if you're interested.

Wow - sounds like around €60 in juice for a 500km round trip. Hope it's worth it.

Yeah, I agree, cutting it tight. I reckon the bags are worth at least €100 each (could be wrong there), so just about worth it.

I'd just like to add that I was having issues logging into the site yesterday to update my bids do I gave them company a call.

I think the bloke I spoke to was Alan and he couldn't have been more helpful.

He took my number, sorted my issue, called me back about 10 mins later to let me know everything was fine ( it was ) and then sent me a text about 30 mins later just to see if I was still having any issues.

Great customer service so far and will let ye know if it continues through the payment and collection process.

Was that set of Clevelands one of the ones without the grips and the €140 was that before or after the VAT & sales commission ?

Had a rake of bids down on stuff and then got outbid on most of them.

Nothing I really needed, only say stuff I'd use and could turn around for a small profit.

Was a serious amount of bargains though.

got this reply today when enquired abou collection

Thanks for your mail on this. We talked to the team on location and they are happy to accommodate you till 2pm tomorrow. I hope that is manageable for you? Although its not particularly a suitable location for children, there is no access to the goods for those collecting, it’s a matter of waiting on location – if it suited you, we have no objection to a family collection!

Payment should be made by direct bank transfer – the details are on the top right of your invoice, and copied here below for convenience

    this sounds dodge right??? :)
anybody else to collect 2m?? i havent paid yet......mmmmmmmmmmmmm

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 82 ✭✭Tomhoganie

Just collected, Alan and the lads out in Ballymount are really nice lads. Nothing shady, all the lots are there - they encourage bank transfer so they dont have to handle too much cash I would imagine.

They are right in saying about the space, it is a warehouse with a car park (Western Parkway Business Centre) but I have been, paid cash and collected my lots in the same space with no fuss.

Would be interested to hear from anyone who bought some of the clothes lots. How'd the sizes work out?

There was a lot of 9 Adidas polo shirts I was tempted to bid on but was afraid all the sizes might work out XXXL or something

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,612 ✭✭✭BigChap1759

    I got 8 pairs of underarmour trousers - all 34" or 36" - RRP €80 each ;)
