    Hi,

Am looking to get away for 3 nights with girlfirend in first week of December for a couple of days and wondering where to head to.

With xmas just around the corner hoping to get somewhere that aint too expensive to eat out or for hotels and probable grab a few sights but nothing too hectic.

Was thinking somewhere like Budapest or Prague but is there any little pearls of places that any of you could recommend for us to go.

What's your definition of "cheap"? How much do you want to spend on accommodation and meals out.

Berlin can be cheap to eat out in and for accommodation but flights there and to prague and budapest can be expensive.

My self and the girlfriend booked a 4 night stay in Lisbon for less than 400 euro through comparetravel.ie

Stayed in Hotel Aviz and flew with Aer lingus. We found the food and alcohol a lot cheaper than most other Euopean Cities. Plus there loads to do, we would recommend the city tour, oceaniarium, and the castle de forge!

Madrid is probably the most relaxing city that I have been to.... Have a search on here for other posts by me about Madrid. There have been a few recently.
