Got a new pair of Addidas golf shoes and someone told me to put Vaseline on them and it would help protect them...Anyone know if this is true or have any other ideas to protect them..

Haven't heard of using vaseline but have always used Chelsea Dubbin on football boots to keep the leather soft/stop it from cracking or splitting.

You can get it in most supermarkets, should be beside the shoe polish.

Just rub it in with a duster cloth

Vaseline does the trick alrite. As the last poster said dubbin is often used too, me da loves that stuff.

Also don't keep them in a too warm/too cold room.

And I stuff mine with newspaper. Absorbs any sweat inside the shoe and should keep any mould from developing

(an issue I've lost shoes to in the past, warm room, sweaty shoes)

    Get some cedar-wood shoe trees.
Will help them to keep their shape, stop cracking and also will absorb moisture out of them. Cost you about a tenner and really prolongs the life of all shoes.

If they get a soaking put some cat litter into them, it will absorb all the moisture and stink
