I picked up one of these this morning. I am fairly impressed so far with it. I picked up the 10Ah so hopefully I will get out tonight and see how well it preforms.

    Review later.

It's a nice compact set up dev.
    Where did you purchase?

I was looking at these on the there stall at the Midlands game fair the weekend.

They said its lighter than the tracer lithium ion battery but I don't think so the connection going into the battery didn't seem great either in my opinion.

The colour is a good point and it is cheaper than the tracer one.

Why did you go for the 10ah, money or you not planning on using it that much?

They have 3 different models. 10, 15 & 22Ah. The 10 is the lightest and the 22ah is about twice the weight of the 10Ah.

The output connection doesn't seem to bad but I say it is the same with everything and comes down on how much abuse it is given

I went with the 10Ah cause of money but also I use a P7 mounted on the scope for taking any shots and I have a little LED Lenser P3 for walking about.
The battery pack and lamp will be just used for searching. The very minute I have a fox close enough it will be the P7 that will be used.

Ok just back in the door. Set off at 9.30 so an hour and a half of lamping.

It is very light and you wouldn't even notice it on your belt.

One massive con is the connection where you plug in the lamp. It is smooth so nearly every time you want to use the lamp you have to push the cigarette plug back into the connection so the pin touches the back of the connection. Gets annoying after a while!

After that short enough session the lights all stayed lit up.

When you push the plug into the socket, wrap a bit of insulating tape around it, will keep it together for you.

Ye that's what I was thinking too. I wanted to do more lamping tonight but was near dead after the walking. Flu last week has me killed.

Hopefully I'll get out tomorrow night again and see if anything is stirring.

Only saw one fox tonight which was 300 yards away and by the time I got to 100 yards he was gone.

What size lamp are you using with it? And how long do you think you'll get out of the battery?

Can not understand why thy have not made the socket and plug with little click in tabs to keep it secure at this stage, it is defently the most anoying thing about using these when lamping

    I am using a 170 U Caller lamp.

I'm not sure tbh. I hopefully will get out tonight for another while and I'll keep going out until I see it near empty.

Ye it was very annoying but nothing a little tape won't fix.

I cut the cigarette connections off my lamp and battery and joins them with an straight connector. You don't need the cigarette lighter jack on the lamp anyway, since it's illegal to lamp from a vehicle.
Did you get that 204 you were on about?

No I'm getting another .308 built. Have all the bits for it and will be easier on the pocket for messing on the range.

Nice. I suppose the ftr rig must be a heavy yoke to go lamping or stalking with. Did you try stalking with it at all?

It's not to bad but can get tiring after awhile. Nope no stalking.

Went out again last night. Got a lovely vixen at just over 100 yards with a chest shot.

I got the pack down to the 3 lights showing. I say it is very close to only having two lights lit.

When it gets to that stage the light starts to turn to more of a yellow light. It can still light up a fair distance away.

I would say that the pack would easily do one of my nights lamping where I have a LED Lenser P3 for walking/getting over gates etc, A P7 for taking the shot and the U Caller lamp for searching.

If someone was using the lamp for searching, walking and taking the shot I would advise them to go the 15Ah or 22Ah depending on how much lamping they would do during a night.
