Long term agency worker rights when company taken over

So am with the same company for nearly five years now. Started as an agency worker (supposedly for a few days) and was then given a 12 month contract. When that lapsed, the company just kept me on. Company is in trouble now and due to be taken over next year. All permanent staff will be "looked after" in terms of the transfer of undertakings, but not me.

Anyone know what rights (if any) I have?

Have joined a union, who made representations for me and requested that I be made permanent, which, 6 months later has yet to be decided upon and answered.

I moved this to a new thread for you, 'cos it sounds like a different question to me.

Who's been paying you, the agency or the client company? Whoever it is, you're probably considered permanent with them, I'd guesss.
