Commercial test, Spare wheel required?

    Im wondering is a spare wheel required for the doe test?

    Nope, it's only a fail if it's present but not secured in its carrier.

    What if the spare was there for first test and another tyre failed (cracked rubber). Could the perfect spare be fitted leaving no spare for retest even though it was there for first test

    Nope, it's only a fail if it's present but not secured in its carrier.

    Any commercial we sent for it's DOE had the wheel unsecured in the cargo area and they never failed us on it

    I asked the exact question mick just asked to our local centre yesterday and tests what they told me. How accurate it is I don't know, but once they pass it I don t mind.

    We used to DOE our stuff in one particular place and after they failed us on something ridiculous twice, we went to another centre. Both times the Daily had its wheel lying on the floor, no straps anywhere near it and both centres were satasfied with that.

    Never failed for a spare wheel from 2 different centres
