Highly interested in this little 11.6" budget laptop, but I can't see anywhere in Ireland that sells it. Currys/PCworld have got it listed on their UK site but not the Irish one.

Additionally, I'm looking for the i5 model rather than the i3, which seems to be impossible to find outside of the USA :P

Note: there are a couple of places that sell the 15.6" Aspire V5-571, but that's not the one.

That Acer model/version is not available in Europe yet.

Maybe Lenovo i3 model would suit ?
    ThinkPad X131e

You can also customise this model ,add extra RAM or swith to faster HDD etc

Funnily enough, I found out a friend of mine had bought one a few days ago, and was just about to update this thread saying I'd go for the X131e instead! I really like the look of it.

My only complaint about the Lenovo is that it is Sandy Bridge whereas the Acer is Ivy Bridge, but I probably won't be going massively CPU-reliant things on it anyway.

Was looking at that notebook in PC world Tralee today and it seems good. Ive been advised to go for a Mac air though I'm really not sure why.My work laptop is a Windows 8 so it makes sense to stick with that OS for personal computing, especially since I need a new printer and a new phone as well. However, any advice or ideas would be welcome.Thanks.:)

Jus saw this in PC Wordldt for 399, 300 quid off, seems legit. Any current owners have anything to advise? I intend to use it for media download, media consumption and browsing. Any obvious limitations with it? Does it have hdmi port is usb 3.0 on board or even relevant to me?

    Thanks,

    Tom
