    Hey,

Just wondering if anyone has ever tried to put a tele style bridge onto a Melody Maker? I have a tuneomatic one on it and the action is ****, so all I get is fret buzz. Any input is greatly appreciated.

    Cheers.

If you think the action is bad now with a tune-o-matic then you'll be in for a shock if you make that mod...

Have you tried setting the guitar up? Action is something that can be changed very easily.

    Agree totally with Ravelleman !
A good setup should have it sorted

Dont know why but ive always fancied a melody maker with a hot-rails in the bridge :pac::pac:

I've been wanting a to maybe stick a single P-90 in it, they are unbelievably light. But i play through a rockerverb so anything through that will sound amazing. Yeah I've been trying for ages to do it but i can seem to get rid of the fret buzz with is ****ing doing my head in! haha or maybe im just **** at it and have no idea what im doing haha

    sounds possible!!

if it's buzzy, and you can't get rid of it by raising the saddles, it might be the frets need leveled

So just give each fret a smack of a hammer :) Yeah i should probable leave it in somewhere to get it done.

    Thanks lads.

Sell the melody maker, take the money you were going to spend on getting the frets leveled and buy a nicer guitar.

I'm guessing you like gibsons so you could look at something like this?
