Unpaid work experience insurance?

Not sure if this is the right place.
I want to do unpaid work experience with a local public library (it's a requirement to have this under my belt before starting my postgraduate). The local library agreed but I have to arrange my own insurance.
How do I even go about this?
Does it cost much money to insure myself to work in a library?
Can anyone give me links/advice as to how to begin this process please?

A few possibilities. Firstly can they cover you under their public liability insurance.
Secondly, could your college give you any cover - they should have a policy to cover all sorts of work placement situations.
The third situation is via FAS or another state agency.
Finally approach your local volunteer centre volunteer.ie and they may be able to help as you are a volunteer in this situation.

    Good luck with it.

College cannot give me cover, I've already asked. The library also is not willing to cover me as they cannot afford it, the only reason they are allowing me to do work experience is if I can cover it myself.
Fas would not really work as I've already set up the work experience in the specific library.

Is there a specific place that deals with setting up work experience insurance that I can fill out a form or something to deal with it myself?
