Quotes for this would normally be in the €2000-2500 range for an outdoor pac, assuming the Pipework is available where th boiler is to be sited.
Or my money would go for a Grant Vortex boiler, and spend extra upgrading the zone/temperature control for the house, as this realizes fuel savings.

In Castleknock would you no consider a changeover to gas?

Thanks for the reply and advice, would those prices include vat?,one quote i had was 3k inc vat. You're right, i considered gas,we have a new kitchen installed and there wouldn't be room for boiler so on inspection the plumber mentioned only options would be in the airing cupboard or attic, which we're converting new year. The airing cupboard idea in his estimation seemed to require a lot of up set with pipe work and we'd have to run up on the outside of the house with the pipes eventually enclosed in steel for protection. In your estimation If you think this is still worth looking at as an alternative to oil let me know, and if you're in the biz maybe have a look for me?Looking forward to hearing back from you, thanks.
