Alinco 3 v Alnico 5 Singlecoils

    What are the main differences between the Alnico 3 versus the Alnico 5 singlecoils?

    Not sure what to go for for my US Strat with maple board.

    My understanding is that Alnico 5 will give more output whilst Alnico 2 and 3 deliver a higher end tone. I like the higher output personally.

    I prefer higher output myself also,you can also counter high output pickups to get a smoother sound but you can't push Alcino 3's as high as Alcino 5's

    Thanks guys, but i already pulled the trigger on a set before these replies. I went for a set of Alnico 5's anyway.
